Hey everyone I was wondering what the main differences are between the Exmark Metro and Viking walk-behinds are besides wheels and air filters. Any imput is great, thanks in advance..

I think the Metro's are gear and the Viking's are hydro drive.

There are 2 major differences, the gear drive or hydro drive and the size of the drive tires. I do believe they share the series 2 and 3 decks.

The compare option on the exmark website finally worked so I checked them out. The main differences are the hydro vs gear, air filter, and tire size. I have a Metro now and Im trying to decide what to get next. Anyone use a viking or metro? or Both?

get a hydro...esp if your the main user. your body will thank you

btw i own both....hydro has instant fwd to reverse. and it has true reverse not reverse assist. but its at least 1k more for a hydro new

Yeah hydro is the way to go, well worth the extra cash.
