winter maintenance, dont forget about your equiptment now that it is winter. batteries go bad in the winter. the higher the cold cranking amps the higher the lead. the more lead (CCA's) the more the bateries need to keep up thier charge. come spring time, they could be dead. once batteries go dead and are recharged they will never regain all the power they once had. so keep them charged up. also, storing a batter on the ground can also allow it to loose its charge. put it on a piece of wood.

if you not using equiptment with bateries, drop a charger on them or simply start them up and let them run for an hour. i just start all my mowers, even one with a new batery had trouble cranking.
