Getting postcards designed, printed and mailed to a list of 5800 addresses in our area that we selected to mail to. (Selected using mail carrier routes that we wanted to target and grow in)....anyways, 5800 postcards designed, printed and mailed for $1,500.00. Sound Good?

Actually, I have been running some numbers here for the last couple hours. That seems pretty much in line with what I came up with. I came up with $1500 for 5,000 postcards, but mine are going to be 5.5 x 8.5. I am also thinking of putting on a scratch off sticker.

The price I had listed above is for 5800, sent to addresses in areas we targeted. Hoping for a better return by doing so. Hoping the 5800 gets a decent return.

Are targeting any particular home values or income levels?

In a round about way yes. The listings we used to come up with the 5800 addresses are all in 2 towns, 1 is our base town, the other is the next town over. Both are Where our current accounts are and where we would like to gather up more accounts. These towns both have higher end residents with higher end homes, so yes we are targeting a certain type but not by literally targeting them by their income or property value. Hope that makes sense.

Got another question- Being that we are trying to target areas we either are already in or close to or know well, do you think it would be better to mail postcards to those areas or use doorhanger type ads? Basically, which in my scenario do you think would be more effective.

Well, you can ask any marketing expert, and that I am not, and they will tell you the key to marketing is saturation. With that being said, this is one way you could do it. You could send one round of postcards, a round of door hangers, then another round of postcards. For $300 you can buy 5000 flags with print on them. Stick them in the yard. On top of that, buy about 50 yard signs and flood the area. Just some ideas.

That would be .26 each for everything. I cant see you getting quality post cards out for that price, sounds too good to be true.

These prices are from A'deas printing, a sponsor and member of this site. Check out their website. They may chime in on this thread also. Very helpful people so far and it seems there have been some people here on ls that have used them and been very pleased.

To answer some questions and PMs, the prices and their service is all inclusive including some design time, printing and the entire mailing process.

Saturation is good of course. Just trying to find the best bang for the buck.
