In the off season in between snow storms I do a little work like this with my buddy.
He does it full time and is always busy with it. He gets contracts with the company to clean out the houses or do repair work to where the homes are sell-able. Most of the time it is easy work at lest when I helped him. Not sure how the pay is though as he just pays me on the side.

Thanks...when i spoke with them there was no talk about pay. They did send a contract which i am in th eprocess of looking over. Thought it might be some extra work. al little worried about it turning out like working for a "national" company which they probably are anyway. Does your buddy have to take pics? and is it(above) the same company he works for?

I'd consider it if they paid up front or due when work is done weekly, not 30 days out and no terms. I'm picky that way though.

I got a call from them today as well... I searched them on the internet, it does not sound good. Same as all the other management companys, the real lco gets screwed.

I worked for them for two months, thought I wasn't going to get paid, then 2 mos later the money showed up after I quit. Then, they contacted me about winterizing a house but didn't want to pay anything. Needless to say, I didn't take the job. Just be aware, my experience is, they do want pics, they do want a good job, they DON'T want to pay anything or soon.

He said that they dont have enough vendors to keep up with the foreclosure rate. the info he sent me states they deal with HUD properties. i didn't have a chance to contact the PA Better Business Bureau today either. anything else you guys have heard?

that's about what i figured. wonder how they keep up the way the housing market is and treating contractors that way?

Would be nice if the stuff you cleaned out of the houses was good then you could sell it to make money!

I was also contacted a couple weeks ago and I still have the application laying on my desk. I wasn't sure what to think about this either.

I work for them, net 15, following month. pay 30 for cut, 10 for inspections. take a ton of pictures. kinda a pain, but if you do the work on time, they can keep you busy
