This truck belonged to my late father who purchased it brand new. It has been sitting under the garage since he passed away, I had a new fuel pump, carb rebuilt, and electronic ignition installed on it last week, runs fine. It has a 350 V8 and AT.
It is valued on antiquechevytrucks.com at around 4900. Asking 3900, this would be a great truck for someone who likes to restore older vehicles.

BTW, I know the tailgate shows GMC, dad put another tailgate on it when he bent the original one. Backed into a tree with the tailgate down and had it loaded with peanuts past the back window and did not see the tree:laugh:

This truck has a LOT of memories for me also. I got my first kiss in this truck, made out my first time in it, and will leave the other one out:laugh: My dad told me many times before he passed away he was going to leave me this truck because I picked on him so many times about not driving his new truck, he loved this thing! He told me I could not sell it but I know he was joking and knows I don't need it, just sitting in the garage in my way and I would like to see someone put her to use. Her nickname is "ol Bessy" he named it after his mom. OK, enough of the sentimental crap, she needs to go!

That is so true. I figure if it is meant for me to sell it then it will go, if not then my late dad did not want me to get rid of it:)

Don't sell it, refinish back to stock and keep it in the family. Its something you could never get back. Also keep that GMC tailgate and enjoy the ride.

New price, 2975. This would be a good work truck or a project truck to restore for someone.

It has drum brakeIm pretty sure but will look to make sure, the original 350 was rebuilt some years back but it was all the original parts, still same engine that came in it, and yes there is some rusted out spots in the cab corners, every single one of these years models seems to have that curse. My dad was going to have it repainted and all that fixed before he passed but did not happen. I just dont have the heart to restore it right now. If it does not sell I might do that. Oh and the transmission shifts flawlessly. It was rebuilt back in 75 (I was driving it when it went) on a date and again in 01 by a very good tranny shop.
