Tangible taxes

What is the reasoning behind tangible taxes? I cant seem to figure out why i would be paying taxes on every single piece of equipment used in the process of making money in my business down to office chairs and a shovel. It makes no sense

Does every file and pay these taxes in every state?

The reason behind it is that you will depreshite it every year. also you wrote it off when you bought it.

we have redemption tax. " Most prople do" it may be called somethign else in your town/state. But it's all the same. it's kind of like inventort tax that retail has.

I kno, it doesn't seem right sometimes
