That Ferris is a rebadged Snapper. They are both owned by Briggs and Stratton.
The Snapper commercial is a good machine, so the Ferris should be good also. The only other real options currently, are the Toro/Exmark 21" commercial machines.
There is NO 26" machine on the market that i know of, that is well designed for commercial use.

Suggerstion: do not buy any Exmark 26" mower at any price. Sorry you guys who have these dogs for sale. That is the best advice this potential buyer can ever get concerning these mowers.

This is the first positive review I have found for the Metro 26. I purchased one today and am considering returning tomorrow after reading such horrible reviews. Based off the reviews I have read this is horrible mower and cannot mulch. Obviously I should have done more research prior to purchasing. It seemed to mulch fine for me. Is anyone satisfied with the Metro 26? I'm debating whether or not to pay the 15% re-stocking fee to return it or take my chances and keep the 15%.

I think that was some early models when they first came out. They just seemed to have lots of problems. If you purchased a new 2012 you should be fine with nothing to worry about..

From talking to my dealer, I don't think he would sell me a Metro 26" if I wanted one, that's how much they hate them. Also, my Toro dealer tells me to stop looking at their Timemaster 30" when I go in there.

You should think about NOT buying one...they do not have enough power to pull a greased string put of a sick cats ass.

The main problem is it doesn't have enough power so if it still has anything less than 8hp you won't be happy.
