i have a z400 that has 24hrs on it... it was bought only to mow our 2ac empty neighborhood lot that we plan to build on in the future... the problem is, it cuts horribly! i have to go over the entire place 3 times to get a decent cut, and its only decent. i took the mower in at about 10hrs and explained this issue, they said one of blades needed sharpened. not fixed... i have it in for the 2nd time now for this same issue, and they are doing a fall/winter service. im actually extremely frustrated that im having to spend 6-7hrs on my lawn that should take 1-2hrs max!!! i can post pics of the horrible cutting if need be! just cant believe i spent 7k on this! does toro have a lemon buy back program if this problem persists???

check the pitch of your deck. They should have from 1/4 to 1/2 in from front to back with the front being lower. When I got my toro, it is pitched a 1/2 in to the back, and it clogged and cut horrible.

I have a z400 and mine cuts perfect. But when i needed new blades my dealer just gave me the cheap replacements. Well after i installed them it kept on leaving trails of uncut grass. I couldnt figure out what it was since they were brand new blades. So i took it to the dealer and spent $40 on having them level the deck, check the tire pressure, and check the RPM's on the engine. The problem still wasnt fixed! So i took the blades pff and compared them to the OEM's that came on the mower. The blades the dealer gave me where 1/4 inch to short in there overall length! I was soooo pissed off becuase they costed me sooo much money and time having to double cut yards. But with your mower having only 24 hrs. on it you shouldnt have any problems at all.
