I'm getting out of lawn care and am selling a 2008 Exmark Lazer Z XS 72" 35h Vanguard that has 900 hours on it. It comes with a Power Chute. Amsoil has been used from post break-in on.

Seems like a good deal to me. Nice to see a 72" that actually has the proper amount of horsepower! I see a lot of low hour units, for about the same price, with a stinkin 25 or 27 hp engine with a 72" deck...

yup, nice mower. good to have the hp. i would only want a min of 30hp on a 72, and then it would be underpowered a bit.

you getting rid of the wrights, and what looks like a lastec too?

of course we all want to know why you are getting out of lawn care?

good luck with the sale.

Yep, I have individual threads and one complete thread with everything for sale. Trying to increase the amount of views to what I have specifically. I'm getting rid of everything and getting out of lawn care. The reason is I'm moving on to bigger and better things. One of which among several things is called Thought Field Therapy. It's like acupuncture/acupressure for emotional issues.

How's the cut and productivity?

How's the cut and productivity?

The cut is amazing. The productivity is incredible. It takes some advanced skills to run a larger deck unless you're on completely flat ground though. You can cut near full speed with this machine a lot of the time (12 mph) and it still leaves a beautiful cut.

I have a 72, 27 and it runs at 8 mph cuts all day and hasn't bogged down once. Oh and mine is for sale for 5000.00. So while it may be your OPINION that a 27 is underpowered on a 72, it is not.

I have personally used a 27hp 72" exmark, and yes it is underpowered. If you were going 8mph, you were pushing over the grass, not mowing it. The tip speeds are the same but torque to actually cut it is completely different. this mower is well worth the 7k and maybe more.

your just a sour person. the fact that you comment negatively on a thread that has no meaning to you says it all...

Your mower has double the hours and 8 less hp. that is why yours is 5k not 7k.

FREE BUMP FOR YA BUDDY. 35HP IS THE WAY TO GO.

Will you take a trade?

Depends on what you're trading for. I'm getting out of lawn care so it would have to be something I'm in need of now. Like a new MacBook Pro, 2000-2008 full size sedan with under 75,000 miles that has cruise control and CD player. Let me know what you've got...

I am not in the market for a 72inch, but I would like to know your thoughts on the power chute. How long have you had it. I assume you cant leave it closed too long or it will start to clump up. Exmark has one, I think pretty similar. Do you like it, what would you change about it? Can it flip all the way up, and does it actually make it wider if your trying to squeeze through a very narrow area? Thank you

I've had the power chute since 2008. It will clump up after a while, yes. I love it. The other mowers we run don't have them and anytime I use those other mowers I wish they had them installed. Great investment. I'm constantly using it. I don't have anything that I can think of to change. It flips all the way up so it only adds around a half inch to the deck width, maybe even less than that.
