send out around 6k postcards each spring, advertising my landscape business. I have pretty good results with them. The first year I sent maybe 2500 locally, the next year I used the same postcards, and sent out 5k. Last year I had a new design, and sent out about 6k.
Trying to decide if I should have a new design made, and send out the ones I sent the first year?

It will be around $200 for a new design. But im thinking maybe people wouldnt even notice or care if they get a repeat.

Opinions?

Curious, what do you mean by good results? How many new customers came in from these postcards?

roughly 4.5% return for calls, and around 2.5% for actual landed jobs. Good for me, because its 12-15 customers I didn't have before I sent them. Zero customers from radio, Zero from newspaper, Zero from the local 'free flier'

Do you have a image of the postcard you sent out previously?

Not sure who you use for postcard design but you cant beat Gotprint.com. I have had my doorhangers and postcards designed from them. a 4x6 post card is $49.00 design charge for one side. That includes three proofs. I attatched a picture of my doorhangers from last year.

Im reading this thinkin, whats with the laughing faces?? is it because my return is so low? then I did the math myself instead of asking someone.....yeah, I put the decimal in the wrong place..... .25 percent return on jobs, and .45 percent return on calls. lol, and you can't call bs on that, because I said 12-15 new customers! I wouldn't know what to do with a 2.5% return. Id be focked.

and i'd rather not post up my cards, but now I know why everyone was asking to see them, I would too!

Don't use RND! I use a local graphics designer that I trade with or I use plan-it graphics. Tthere is no bs and the product is far superior. Design cost a bit, but well worth it.

So what is the expected amount of calls to get off of 2,500 doorhangers?

National average is 2.6% return rate. That isnt industry specific though.
Well worth the coat if you dont mind the time spent passing them out.

This is who I use as well. You can't beat the pricing that I know of.
