I run the S650 machine with a BC blower. There are 4 ports on the side of the machine - bad design if you ask me -at least the handle that is to protect it. When I hook up the blower the two big hoses are next to impossible to get on and then to remove. I hate it!

I spoke to the dealer and he said well make sure pressure etc is off. Well I have other attachments as well and they work nicely - little push on and off but they work good.

Is there something else I should know? Change ends? What else can be done?

We run a snow blower on our Cat 279C too, an it helps to pour hot water over the couplers before hooking them up or unhooking them, seems they freeze up after the hot couplers cool off again.

I carry a little butane torch for those occasions, but only after confirming the pressure is off on both ends of the hoses.

So you guys are saying the couplers get ice built up therefore making it hard to get on / off? I guess everything else i run is in the warmth of sun during the summer. Not whens 20 below out and dark

They freeze up real easy, I had my flail out in the cold one day and the couplers on the loader were de-pressurized yet all 3 hoses from the flail didn't want to couple, I even released the pressure off the hoses by cracking the fittings loose, finally I grabbed my torch and they popped right on.
