A Fair price For A School?

Hi everyone..

I have to quote for a school here in the uk. the grounds are around 10 acres

consisting of..

football pitches

rugby pitches

cricket pitches

The rest is just lawns and a few beds.

I have to quote for a 1 years contact to look after all of this. I have allowed 1 man to be there full time 5 days a week. use my own machinery and of course running costs of machinery.. ie ride on lawn mower, strimmers,blowers,rollers, line marking for football pitches and rugby pitches. prepair and maintain cricket pitche.

This is how i have quoted it

My wage £35,000 per year

servicing and running costs of machinery £10,000

Materials ie line marking chalk, weed killer fertilzer £5,000

Overheads plus a bit to cover myself £3,000

Total £53,000

there are 3 other companies quoting for this, so i dont want to seem to cheap or to expensive..

What do you think of my estimate?

Just too hard to say on this site as most of the people here are from the states.

It all depends on your individual location and over-head. Even in the US, a service in one location might cost twice as much somewhere else.

looking at your numbers it looks like you have the right idea atleast, but I have no clue what your wage is in that area. Your wage could be 10x the other companies in your area and we wouldn't have a clue here
