Purchased this today! It was nice to be able to write a check for the mower. No payments. I'm sure this will cut a lot nicer than the yellow one we replaced. With the 18hp and the wider tires it is a lot better functioning machine. This machine has the new cable control for the hydros that goes right into the units without linkage.

Paid $6543.00! The Scags are cheaper but this fits our companies needs better!

Nice mower. Looks even better without a payment book attached to it.

Congrats. They are nice mowers. I bought one just like this last spring. Worth every penny.

nice. I want one but I cant believe a 36 mower costs that much money.

Price all the stand-on's there all right about the same! But the are much more efficient!!!

I'm so jealous. I have a 36" exmark walkbehind and I've been looking to get a 48" ZTR sit down but the more I think about it, replacing my walk behind with one of these would make much more sense...I'd be the guy having to make payments but oh well!! Maybe next season...

Much more efficient than a walk behind maybe.

Going to post pics when I can.

The turbo force deck is something else, I hacked on a JD GS 30 36" for 7 years....What was I thinking!!!!:hammerhead:

That's a nice looking mower. The thought has crossed my mind to trade my older Walker in on a stander, but if I bought the Grandstand, I'd probably go with a 40 inch deck. My Walker is a 48, and goes most places I need it to.

Wish I lived closer to you, I'd see if you'd let me run yours around for a bit. :)My dealer never stocks any walk-behinds or standers, just not enough market for them around here.

just demoed one today and the scag last week, honestly both machines are amazing however the foot platform on the toro makes it worth so much more. you can really throw your weight around on it

you know, my new 4x4 is dead in the garage from battery, and my wife cant get it to use for the weather or to move it to put her car in the garage the same.

always really crap weather when i am on a vacation. i do not envy anything you have to do out there.

seaworld was great, got burned a bit. the florida sun is pretty intense

you gonna think by monday the 7th will be doable for cleanups without rain delays or the like?

My new 60'' grandstand doesn't have speed control lever, (you can see on my post 60'' GS w/ pics) which I'm happy about, I read on the toro forum that on the 2011 models the speed control switch is now only an option not standard. What do other GS owner think?

Do the smaller GS's (36''-40'') have the adjustable baffle?

I like the speed control option, acts like governor. I can set speed low/med and still push levers full speed without mowing to fast.

But.. without the speed control option the reverse is way better / faster.
It's the latest update for the Grandstand.

wish these were out back when I bought my dual hydro ferris 36. To all you guys who push mow inside fences, these little 36s cut the time mowing by a ton. Well worth the money.

I really like the speed control. It has helped me learn how to control the unit after I bought my GS a couple of weeks ago. Even after I catch on, I still see myself lowering the speed control around mulch beds and in tight areas. My main issue now is keeping the GS going straight.

speed control is great, at least they made it an option. i think though many wont even know the dif when they buy one off the lot and it will "seem" no one likes the option. hope toro does not discontinue due to wrong info

I don't know about the 40" but the 36" does.

Man how much did you say you paid for your 36" grandstand?

I just priced one the other day at a local dealer and the 36 is like $7000 freaking dollars. The bigger 52" ones go for around $5,500 used. I just don't get it. No way I could pay 6-7000 for the same machine I've already got with ztr controls and a platform.

that is too much imo.
