Are you building the box yourself ? how large and what is it costing you ? I think im going to rework mine later in the season. Most likely going to cost me a bit more than this one which the current one cost a little over $300 bucks and I build it myself. The next one I will make out of steel.

Bunton Guy, a few suggestions.

1) You need fenders on that trailer, it is illegal in all 50 states (Fedral Law)

2) Set your vac up higher you can build your sides up higher and load more leaves per a trip.

3) Mine cost me $380, $300 for wood and metal, $80 for an80 mesh breatheable tarp for the top. Breatheable tarp for the top is the suggestion.

4) Make panels out of the wood and steel so you can remove them in sections so it is easier to take off and reassemble.

a buddy of mine is going to make it for me. Ive known him for a long time, and he has built many leaf boxes for guys in town. He told me hed do it for $150, but that is way too cheap, so ill probably give him $300. Im mounting my vac on the back of the dump trailer, and when i go to dump, just swing the tailgate to the side and clip it so it wont swing back. i also bought a chute extension so i can get the chute as high up as possible to fit more leaves. i cant wait to get it up and running.

Hey LGF. How high to you suggest I go with the sides. Last year I could do about 2 jobs per day before it would fill up. Also what engine did you get one that vac ? is that a giant vac ? I always dreamed of getting one of those Old dominion 85hp 4 cylinder diesel.... 23,000 CFM I cant even think of what you can on accident suck up with 23,000 CFM.

I would think that you may be able to suck up small dogs??:nono:

Mine is 8.5' wide 8' high 16' long.

Stand your 4 X 8 sheets up so the 8' side is going up. This will make your size bigger.

Looks like you are at about 5' or 6' sides.

Giant vas is correct, 30hp Wisconson, the 65hp one was sold when I bought this one.

This one has PLENTY of power and suction. It will suck up good size rocks, baseballs, softballs, basketballs, volleyballs, small dogs, small children, sticks, news papers, trash, soccar balls, etc......

Mine gets clogged left and right with twigs getting lodged in there sideways and then a bunch of leaves collecting on the brances of the twigs....its a pain to get undone. I was very fortunate to on top of having my own leaf jobs having a LCO send his work my way. He would blow them to the street and I would vac them up. Easily did 5-6 jobs a day.

I had the same problem, that's why I got the big vac.

Got it clogged 1 time in 3 years. I missed the tree branch in the leaves.

I had a Parker, and beck has a Billy goat both had the identical problems.
