View Full Version : hydroseeding vetch

I've been contacted to do a hydroseeeding application of vetch on a hillside. I'm a little nervous due to the cost of the seed and since the plan is for no hydromulch to be used, just seed and innoculant, I know i'll have to cover a lot of ground FAST.
Any helpful suggestions out there?
Ed, here are a few hints.
#1 Use some mulch the green helps you see where you have sprayed.
#2 Mark off the area you need to seed in a grid, divide your seed into two amounts, that way you shoot the area twice and the grid helps you see how much your applying.
#3 With crown Vetch use 3 time the innoccluant that you normally would use.
One more thing about the mulch it helps hold the seed in suspension, giving you better dispersion.

You may also want to use a polycrelomid (sp?) tactifier. It will hold everything in place since you will be using very little mulch
