there is an exmpak PR guy on here sometimes, he might be your best shot.
back when they had thier own board on here they were able to tell me the month and year from my serial #

From what I was told was the first number in the serial is the year, like 2004 would be a 4..... In your case with a n, I would call exmark, they are pretty cool about looking stuff up for you. Go to their website and go to contact us at the bottom of the page. Call the 800 # and they are pretty quick and friendly. Nothing like I was expecting.

Exmark serial numbers do not include alpha characters. Can you please verify the serial number? Thanks!

my brother has a metro hp. sn #162690.what year would the build date be? i emailed exmark but thought i might get a quicker answer on here.

I'm guessing 1998 and the reason it's a guess is because I'm a Toro guy but that would be my best guess is that it's a 1998,
maybe someone else can confirm it.

i figured it was an older model. its a belt drive but has the floating deck. i don't think they make the metro hp like this anymore. but i could be wrong

My metro hp is 90 numbers from yours and is a 98.

sorry, i should have specified that i have a much older metro that i bought used (so no owners manual). i've been told it could be a 99 or 2000. not even sure. i can't find the serial number on this thing.. I'd like to get more information on what i have so i can find a side discharge chute, mulch kit.. or something... because right now there is no chute. I just have a bagger, the type with the large metal piece that attaches to the mower, then the bag attaches to that.

Inzane - your best option is to call our Customer Service department at 1-800-667-5296. They can help you find your serial number and then determine what accessories are available for your machine.

Hey guys you should be able to find out what year your machines are here.. Just select rider/walkbehind or whatever you have and just look.. Hope this helps..
