Deere is tagging whatever is under that sheet as the "single most important piece of equip Deere has ever manufactured." They have me wondering big time now.

http://events.deere.com/tour/

I heard their suppose to be unveiling a new tracked loader, a 944 wheel loader (the biggest JD ever made), and the new machine with the stabilizer.

Bleed Green
03-21-2011, 11:43 PM
They labeled the new track loader and the new wheel loader on the booth overview pic. Im sure they are not what's under the sheet, otherwise I doubt they wouldn't have listed them on the booth layout. My guess as to what's under the sheet is a backhoe with crawler tracks instead of tires, judging from the stabilizer showing. Deere site said its going to be "the most important piece of equip we've ever produced." That would be another new form of machine like they unveiled in 08 with the high speed dozer.

Seems like a good idea on Deere's part. Set this thing up in a spot like Conexpo to get opinions and ideas from people who use the stuff everyday. It will probably help narrow down points on where they would like to improve their products. You will get some flobdobbers and posers(me) who might just get in there and blab foolishness but I'm sure they will get some good feedback.

yea i was pretty bummed with the box that has a microphone in it from Deere...their stand is pretty sweet though. CAT has a nice set up but man was it crowded yesterday, I am going back tomorrow to hopefully get better pictures. Cat just has so much stuff crammed into their area that it is tough to walk, DEERE is more spaced out. Volvo doesn't have much their. CASE has a pretty sweet setup and Komatsu isn't bad either. The new CAT trucks look good, didn't have a chance to sit in them..hopefully tomorrow

The weather is great out too...overall a pretty decent show (comparing it to other construction expos I have been to)

The G series are nice. Spent a good bit of time sitting in a 160 today. Way better visibility than the 316E. I swear the E stands for Enormous. They had a M318 next to it that was still 3 tier. The carbody is half the size. Everybody has rear facing cameras mounted on everything to deal with it. 90% of them will fall of if you look at them funny. I gave one of the deere guys **** for calling the cab EROPS, apparently the cabs are all ROPS rated to meet new ISO standards. The belly pan are all punched plate with 2" holes. Dirtman was not a fan, but HD belly pans are optional.

215781

As for the K series stuff, dozer and track loader, is SWEET. Especially the track loaders, the product specialist was a cutie too. There are 4 options for controls on the track loader. V-Stick or Shift-N-Stick like the dozers for steering and travel and Fingertip levers or a Joystick for loader control. I was waiting for some people to clear out to get picks and then there was a guy sitting in the cab on the phone forever.:hammerhead: I'll be back over there tomorrow. I was really disappointed that they didn't have a track loader simulator, but i sure did make a mess quick with on the dozer.

Just one dozer. I thought it was the one all decked out in forestry guarding and a winch, but no such luck. Case had the most varied offerings of all the big guys in the north hall. Man, It was the asian invasion over there today. Bunch of little dudes taking pictures of everything. They'll never open a cover or panel themselves, but as soon as someone else does they are on it like white on rice. One dude was trying to peal all the stickers off the cat excavators.

850K and another one i dug up of the 755K. From what the reps told me, the 655K and 605K will be out by summer time. I really want to try out a track loader with Shift-N-Stick dozer style joystick. I think it will be better than V-Stick or Cat's joystick.

There were a lot of cuties...I didn't think the Deere loader girl was that great... The girls at the outdoor booths were the best

That's good to hear. One might assume a construction equipment expo would be a real sausage fest. Although, without pictures, I'm still inclined to believe it is.....

Most of the booths have alcohol at them. They would comp you drinks, the ladies at the Titan tire booth are my best friends now. I got alot of free beers from them today. It is in unbelievable how much stuff is here.

I did not get a chance to sit in the Deere track loader but I checked out the outside of her very nice machine. I am going to go back there tomorrow and check out the inside and find out if they redesigned the 605 also. If they did this might be my next purchase.

605's are supposed roll out this summer. I saw the loader girl again today and regretted my previous statement. It was a girl talking about the 605, my judgement was a bit clouded at best. 755K pics from yesterday. http://www.lawnsite.com/showpost.php?p=3953451&postcount=42

I kinda like the new look. I saw a NH online that was blue that really caught my eye. They do however look like if you rolled one they would keep rolling and rolling and rolling:laugh:

Pics of the 944K and 644K hybrids. 4 wheel motors and electronic traction control supposed to decrease tire wear and reduce fuel consumption. Have i mentioned there is no room and tons of people?

Quick note: the 644K hybrid will not have independent traction motors; there will continue to be a mechanical powertrain coming off the generator.

ZOOMLION???? Oh good almighty God, not another Chinese knock off, as if SANY wasn't bad enough, I'll bet Zoomlion is knocking off Sany.

Zoomlion's been around a while (and was also at the 2008 Conexpo). It just doesn't have the same market share as Sany. It competes in a lower price segment, I believe, for obvious reasons.
