Any idea what this is? I think it may have been included as a little "extra" in the prairie grass blend.

Looks like Purslane. Check out this link: http://www.weedalert.com/weed_pages/wa_purslane.htm

It may also be prostrate knotweed.

Let's observe a moment of silence for a small chronic break.

Now that's better.

Could be Crown Vetch.

Try carpetweed - http://www.weedalert.com/weed_pages/wa_carpetweed.htm

It is a hot weather annual, usually the last of the summer weeds to germinate. Some years we don't even see it up here, when we have a rather mild summer.

Purslane has a fat fleshy leaf, and knotweed has smaller leaves and almost a woody root.

Looks like carpetweed is the culprit (this is in our yard, threatening to take over our experimental planting of prairie grasses). Last night the choices were narrowed to carpetweed and bedstraw... yah, I know they're nowhere near similar, but hey, it was after midnight.

Thanks, guys -- now we can develop a plan of eradication.
