On sale for $528. But it is mesh, they also have a 5x10 PT wood for $1098. I have a 10% discount so I could get the mesh for $476 or the wood for $988. What should I do, is the wood and extra 2 feet worth the extra money? Would you buy a trailer from lowes? Thanks in advance for the help!

Lowes is a rip around here. I travel to a trailer dealer two and a half hours away to get my trailers. I bought a 16ft trailer with a 2ft dove tail and gate with pressure treated floor for $1400 bucks

im not sure if i would buy one from lowes...i have never seen their trailors though so i cant really answer that. 5x10 is also a pretty small trailer. i have one but it might be better to get something a little bigger with room to grow into

If you care about your equipment dont load them onto a Lowes trailer. Very badly built trailers. Good for taking garbage cans to the dump but thats about it.

yeah i wouldnt wanna risk losing a mower just to save $ on a trailer. one from a dealer will outlast lowes as well

Find a local trailer dealer. If you plan to do this as a career...go for at least a 6'5" x 14 to start or a 6'5" x 16.

I bought my trailer from Lowe's, BUT I only needed a small (4x6) trailer because I am a small potatoes part time guy that drags the thing around behind a car. If you are not small potatoes and you are looking for something that you can grow a full time job at this with, don't buy from lowe's. Find a trailer dealer that can offer some real service... and for god's sake, have a landscape box built onto the trailer... I can't have one because of the weight (at least while I am still driving my POS car), but I would KILL to have the extra space for misc equipment that doesn't have a home on a rack for me...

Look on craigslist in your area. I can buy a well built triple crown with a 4 inch channel tongue for 1000 out the door. I believe Lowes still carries carry-on and they have just a square bar for a tongue you need to have a v shape.

I think those 5x10 trailers at Lowe's only have a 2000 lb. axle. The trailer's going to weigh at least 500, so by the time you add trimmer racks, a commercial mower or two, gas cans, hand tools and other miscellaneous stuff it will be loaded to or over the maximum, and durability will suffer as a result. It's hard on anything to run it to the max day in and day out, you'll be money ahead to have some reserve capacity as a cushion. This applies to trailers, trucks or just about anything else you can buy with motors and/or wheels.

i had one back in the day but i bought it from orschelns for $500 (this was in like 2006) and the tongue of the trailer actually is bolted on with 2 bolts and theyre a lot smaller than you think
