I'm a new member to this site but have been reading advice from here for awhile so I figured you pros could help. I have a new customer that I did a clean up last fall for that wants me to remove the dirt/clay/ gravel and fix the grass that was damaged from having a service company install a pipe under the lawn. How do I go about charging him? It seems to be about 25ft long from the lawn threw garden and to the house. Do I charge by the man hr plus a dump fee and tops soil with seed and hay? The pile is about a foot high and 3 ft wide. Any advice would help I'm stumped :dizzy:?? I tried to add pics and not sure how to from my computer

Incorporate a bunch of it into the garden, and make that look better... :)
Otherwise, just charge by the hour and let the H.O. know that it is going to settle a lot as well...

very good point I never thought about using it to build on the beds. Its almost all clay and gravel tho. I can prob spread it thin in the beds and talk him into letting me throw mulch over. That would save on the the dump fee and fuel.:clapping:
