Does anyone know if these are good compactors? Specifically the BX80-WH. I found one on ebay brand new, the asking price was $1750.00 and the owner said he would take $1500.00. I was looking at getting another Stone 3000 but they are getting pretty expensive.

A while back we had to rent a small IR compactor.

It was well thought out in the design. Everything was is easily accessible for repairs and maintenance.

The one in the pics look like the one we rented. I liked it.

If you do your own repaire and maintenance I think you'll appreciate how everything is layed out (easy to access).

ALSO - I like that IR has the throttle control on the handle bar, as where the Wacker 1550 does NOT (the last I knew).

We only used the IR for a week, but I think you'll be happy in the long run.

Thanks for the info. I picked it up yesterday and so far I like it. The throttle control is nice. Only thing I dont like is the handles bars are adjustable and the lock nut comes loose after a while.

you may have to take the lock nut off and "double nut" the bolt.
