That depends on your budget. I prefer to stay downtown close to the entertainment, and also a hotel that has a shuttle stop. The choices are listed on the gie site:

For the second straight year, I am staying at the Seelbach Hilton. It's pricey, but perfect.

we never miss the gie ....they messed up on my wife`s pre-register pass so we will have to pay the $10.00 the first day when we arrive. They had a glitch so they took care of it for us.

at the show we hope to pick up a 61" bradly up there they are building for us to go with the 52" we ordered that they just built for us.

rlee- it is a great place to use equipment that as a new company may never get to demo from a local dealer.

It is a great place to make deals. alot of deals and reps do a at show discount of 20%off or better and they also will price most things as a trade show price so in a month they will honner it at a discount price
it is a great place to pic brains and discuss business in a non competing way

and last but not least it is simply fun as hell to look at all the new toys and dream.....talk about motivation to grow your business.

Everybody coming to GIE - if you play golf or are bringing the family Barefoot Yards is hosting two LaserGLOW Golf events.
Friday night @ 6 in Elizabethtown, KY (30 miles south of Louisville @ Pine Valley Resort & GC - google for directions. Hotel available here.
Saturday night @ 6 @ Glen Mary CC down Bardstown Rd - Louisville
Both places have restaurant and bar and LaserGLOW golf is perfect for your kids as it uses a safe almostGOLF ball that glows with glowing targets, tee boxes and clothes to wear. The holes are only 30 to 60 yards long through the trees. Takes a family of 4 about an hour to play 9 holes. We will be playing until 11 or 12 so come on out!:cool2:

ended up not going. My aunt has been in pretty bad health the last month or so fighting multi myleoma. Glad now I chose to stay home. She has taken a turn for the worse and likely will not make it through the night. You guys enjoy. I WILL be there in 2012.

just got back from the show, ended up buying a pluger aerator, and fell in love with the wright standard probably going to pick up a 36" rapid height in the spring :)

My favorite toy there had to be the zspray. IMO much easier to use from the start vs the PG or other like products

Yes its a beast I like the 4X4 mower was fun I took some pics but went hunting today and I forgot my extra card so I put the card of the pics From the show inmy trail cam I'll trade it back out tomorrow post some pics tomorrow night
