Hi All,

I am looking for 80-100 yards, delivered to Stamford, CT, of a spruce blend at whole prices. (no more then $20per yard) Does anyone have the name/ number of a reputable company they recommend?

thats going to be tough. you are still going to be over 20-25.00 a yard. I asked the main suppliers for CT at the new england grows show last winter. they all said that costs were going up. expect to pay over 25.00, and if you get it for less, consider yourself lucky. Now if you want a lower quality mulch with more dirt, contact manchester materials in manchester CT. it's not spruce tho. i do not have the wholesalers info on me at the moment.

Call Supreme Indusries in Harwinton at (860) 485 0343. They bought out Ndew England Brk Mulch in 2006. They can get you what you need at a wholesale price.

I picked up just root grind today and it was $17 per yard. Low end mulch. I expect to pay close to $40 this week at the garden centers for hemlock.

I would definitely call Connecticut Mulch in East Windsor, CT. They pretty much supplly everyone in CT and Western Mass. Living in Enfield I always pick up my mulch directly in their yard. But they have atleast 10-12 semi's that deliver all over the state.

I agree, Supreme Industries does have the worst mulch. Their color fades the day after it is installed. I ordered 80 yards from Ferris Mulch in Danbury and paid $23 per yard delivered. I went with a color enriched brown and it is top quality. Kept playing phone tag with a guy from CT Mulch, but it is good to know their a reputable company as well. The 80 yards to almost gone so I will give CT mulch a call to see what they offer. Thanks for the help.

P.S. Anyone looking to buy a 48" Exmark Belt Drive for $2,000. Its about 6 years old, in great condition. Have pics so PM me if interested.

I agree with the posts above. Kurt at CT Mulch operates a nice operation and their quality is always great. You won't be paying $20.00 a yard for anything decent though, especially not to Stamford. Those days are over.
