IM TALKING ABOUT GRASS BLADES with clippings of 2 or 3 inches that do not have seeds on them

No, blades of grass do not grow grass.
Grass seed grows grass.

Clippings no. Grass gone to seed No. Grass seed must stay on stalk all season to produce viable seed. Weeds I am afraid so!

stolons of grass can make grass if you're talking warm-season grasses

No i just bet my brother that grass clippings wouldnt and i knew all the pro's in here would be able to stand behind me, THANKS EVERYONE

i get customers blaming me for their weeds. i tell them we blow the beds every week, so it doesn't look horrible. but weeds are not related to clippings
what was the wager, a case of ol' mik???:cool:

thank you for that one. now i KNOW i'm right. too many times customers try telling me i've caused their flower beds to go to **** eve though i blow them out weekly.

that would be awesome if clippings good grow good grass. Then i wouldn't have any more sod jobs:(

Oh to the many reasons I always mulch when I can. They can't blame me for being too cheap to keep up their beds. It saves a lot of blowing too!

mulching or bagging is the only way to go. I can understand why side-discharging is the way to go if you only have big areas, but mulching is nice on everything else. I tried the side discharge thing and didn't have very much luck at it. So, buy a mulch kit and all your problems will be solved!!
