I have been in the lawn business for 11 years, but I guess way behind the times. I have no website but considering starting one. Where is the best place to go and what is the best way for my website to be productive. Thanks for any input.

It depends on what kind of site you have in mind. Most lawncare businesses have basic business card style sites that you could probably do yourself over a weekend or two. There are plenty of do-it-yourself services (starting at free) available online such as weebly.com, blogger.com and wordpress.com that make things pretty easy.

If you looking to get fancy or have some kind of special functionality you may want to consider a professional.
If you have any questions ill do my best to answer them for you
Cheers!

If you need your site to drum up business, I would skip doing it yourself and hire a company that can do seo for you also.
