I'm sure I will get flamed for this, but I just ordered the 6.5hp Harbor Freight Greyhound horizontal shaft motor (Honda GX200 copy made by Lifan). It is on sale for $99.99, but with a 25% off Easter coupon, I got it for $89 shipped. I am going to keep it in the box and use it for a replacement for either my tiller, pressure washer or generator. Most likely it will end up on the tiller, as it is a late 70's/early 80's model Troy bilt junior with a Tecumseh. Way I see it, is that I can't rebuild a motor for $89, so it will save some money. Also, It looks like HF is phasing out the Greyhound lineup and replacing it with a more expensive Predator line of engines. So, if you are looking at getting one, now is the time.

I have the Harbor Freight 2500PSI pressure washer with the 6.5 hp and replaced the engine on my toro 524 with a 6.5 and they both work great and start on the first pull.

Everybody that I know that has used one has said the same thing. I just don't think you can beat that for $89.

You may lose reverse on your tiller. Alot of the smaller tillers used an extended camshaft that rotates the other direction to drive them in reverse.

Also you wont be using it on a generator as they use tapered crankshafts.
