View Full Version : Rock sorter bucket for mini excavator
I saw a rock sorter bucket on youtube and was wondering if they made one for a mini excavator (cat 304 ccr) and were could I get one? Theyd be damn handy for my line of work.
What I am talking about is one of those buckets that spins and throws the dirt out of the bucket on the ground and keeps the rock in the bucket.

I have an interest in some sort of smaller rock picker as well but do not know which video you saw.
This one here is what caught my eye .
Maybe the same unit could be adapted for skidsteer and mini x
I have a 3 ton x

The one I would like is the one letsdig18 (Dirtman2007 on here) ran on a JD 200

The trommel verison won't do what I need to do, but one like he ran definitaly would. I just haven't had luck with finding one for a 4 ton excavator.

I would'nt want that attachment near my little x for fear of falling in.....
But I see what style you mean now.

Over here in Australia we have a company called Flipscreen which makes these http://www.flipscreen.net/ screeners which fit on virtually any machine.
I have one on my skidsteer and it works well. Found it for a good price on eBay with only 40 hours of use:)

I think they're about $12,000 for the skidsteer model in Aussie dollars. Mine was only $5000 on eBay with two screens.

Ouch. How many yards per hour do you think it could do?

I'm afraid I can't answer that yet. I haven't had the FlipScreen for very long and it's been raining almost constantly since then:(
Hopefully in the coming months there'll be an opportunity to give it a good run. However the ground here will need some time to dry out.
