I just ran across this and saw it for the first time, and I spit my coffee out and wasn't even drinking any.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to put some grunt laborers with trimmers on a job like that???

It goes to show what the next generation of mowing will be. Think of all the lazy kids you know that sit home all summer playing video games. They will probally invent a affordable one of these so that generation can sit in the truck in the ac and cut peoples lawns.

A flail mower will not make nice cut. But i can see using something like that on a severe slope. A operator using his head for a roll bar is probably cost more than 51k. I can also see cutting that slope with a weed-eater. They have been coming up with robotic mowers for golf courses for about 10 years.But you still need someone to watch it,transport it and dump clippings. Not to mention the cost. The technology just isn't there yet
