Hey guys,

I was thinking we could get a thread going for all of the random equipment pictures some of us might have - mostly for people who may not have enough to start their own thread.

We have something similar going on over at Plowsite.com for DOT/municipal snow equipment : http://www.plowsite.com/showthread.php?t=20489
(It's up to 313 pages and 800,00+ views)

Here's what they were demolising. I think the project came in from Cincinatti where it had capsized once; then it sat in the Buffalo river for a while and was eventually towed out to Lake Erie where they wrecked it.

now how they took down a building that big with the little machine would have made me sit back and watch!

I guess if you can get enough piles up you can ramp your way to the top.

whats that thing the D6C is pulling?

It's called a Proof roller, it's loaded down with weight or gravel, and pulled around on road sub-base to measure how much the sub-base deflects before the final paving work starts, you don't want a rock hard base and you don't want it too soft, just the right amount to absorb the weight of vehicles screaming over pavement at 65 mp/h.
We have a dude here with a single axle truck and 4 concrete stack blocks in his box that does the same thing too.

We have a few more machines not pictured here, too:

a 2008 JCB 406 Loader

(Not our actual machine) Ours is an open cab machine although it started out with a cab before some pricks decided to bust out all the glass one weekend.

1994 Komatsu PC90 Excavator
http://www.classyauto.com/image_large.php?image_id=543474
(Not our actual machine) Its old, squeaky and needs new bushings bad, no pilot controls, but man does it have power.

Takeuchi TB007 Mini
http://www.mascus.com/image/product/large/maskinnet/Takeuchi-TB007,10892_1.jpg
(Not our actual machine) I was just on it yesterday. Its bouncy, tippy, top heavy, sounds like a garden tractor but its actually fun to operate. Sure is a lot better than a shovel!

We also have a late '90s New Holland LS170 but we've all seen those.

Thats a brand new profiler. Here are a few pics of a Cat 365 with a long reach pulverizer demoing a building in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. They are tearing the building down to build a new business college building for Grand Valley State University. I'm taking summer classes there right now and had to check it out. The third pic is a 375 owned by diversco out of GR that i think is gonna be working on the foundation for the new building because its sitting in a nearby parking lot.
