Here is a couple of pics from the 10 yards of slate chips we put down today. Sorry I forgot to take before pics but we cleaned out a bunch of overgrowth, trimmed the hedges, and put down weed fabric over the pine bark they had down then spread the slate. It looks 1000 times better. Sorry for the crappy pics they are from the phone.

It would have looked awesome with black mulch for a couple of month then get all faded and look like crap till they remuoched with 13 yards. Now they have Payed just the one time and never have to mulch again. They will recover the cost in 4 mulches. Then every time they don't have to mulch after that is money in the bank. This was my fourth and I like it more and more every time. I'm going to do it on my house as soon as the mulch from this year fades.

thats true and now that you say that im glad people dont like it around here. mulch is a big money maker for me and if people started using that my spring profit wouldnt be as good, does the slate get hot in the sun or does it keep the ground cool and moist like mulch?

I take care of my customers and they take care of me. My customers know I am looking out for them and they in return look out for me. I have got 4 of the yards on that street after they had a culdasack(sp?) party and I will make a heck of a lot more from those customers than from 4 years of mulch. I am a firm beliver that if you do right by people good things happen to you. Yes it gets a little hotter than mulch but has no negative side effects.
