doubles on a JD 525

Has anyone tried or should i even attempt doubles on a
John Deere 525 38", 18hp.

also what about doubles on a JD JX85.

this is the first i hear of this doubles thing and I am wonderirning of i should even attempt it.

We had a JD F525, had a 48inch deck on it, with a 17Kaw on it before getting rid of it considering it only went 5mph, never ran doubles on it, i would think doubles would be ok??? The deck isnt that big for one or deep enough to handle doubles. I think you would also have to get a longer bolt to put in the spindle.
I wouldnt recommend putting doubles under that deck but if you do, make sure you have a long enough bolt to handle the doubles.
Good luck with your machine, hated my F525, too slow and no deck lift or couldnt handle hills, scalping problems too.
