Things have changed, and I need a mower that will side discharge too. I'm afraid that I may regret this, because this mower is my baby!

2005 27hp 48" 948hours and counting

First 5k takes it home.

PM me your phone number and I'll call you. I'd rather talk about it in person than trying to type a book. If you check out my sig there is pics of the navigator in the e450 thread and even a youtube vid of it last fall.

I'd like to get this over with fast.

Thanks for looking. Nathan

It really does a good job overall. That was with the older blades...Now I've got nice new blades on it. My service guy also said it was about 300rpms lower than it should be...WOW, talk about a monster now!

Haven't they come up with some type of riggins to mulch with these? That yard you showed should be able to be mulched.

Not sure. I just always bag.

Not sure. I just always bag.

Actually, the newer ones have a "fill reduction system".....Wich basically blocks the inlet to the impeller at 25%, 50% and 75% I think. This one was made before they began putting that on them.

I did try and make my own little deals to re-direct the grass and I didn't like how they messed up the air flow so I ditched them.

Just take the belt off the blower. Or open the back and let it blow out like Walker does.

flatlander42
07-11-2011, 01:58 AM
Only on junk lawns I would tie the back door open. Or on large lawns then I would simply close the hopper and collect around the house area. Only problem is that it does not lay it as thin as a side discharge does.

Can't take the blower belt off. It is the same belts as the blades.

I'd say that puts just a little distance between the two of us, I'm all the way from cape cod, might make things a little tough, real nice machine though.

I'm kinda afraid of shipping. I'd rather do business in person, so everybody is happy.

I've got a few phone calls to make today, will probably be later this afternoon when the kids are sleeping.

where are you located in Neb....I might consider it. No leaks, everythings in good running order. What happened to the gaurd over the pulleys by the battery? You are a little away from me, but maybe we could work something out. I currently have a Navi but it has a hydro leak on the right wheel motor and hydro seem to be leaking a bit as well. I'm looking at $1500 in parts/labor to get replaced. Not sure if I wanna spend that kind of money with a motor that has 1750 hrs on it. Maybe you could take a few more pics, of the motor, inside hopper, stuff like that. thanks!

why? Because you want the mulchable deck?

Jimslawncareservice
08-31-2011, 11:28 PM
Yup. Almost bought a 42 but get there to find it was an 05. Only 132 hours.5k I believe it was for it

flatlander42
08-31-2011, 11:36 PM
Have you used one?

I had a mulch deck for my Walker, and hated it.

I also made little deals similar to what the navigator uses.....hated them too. It messed up airflow and didn't cut as nice.

I guess the grass here does not agree with being mulched on a weekley basis, so I had no need/want for the actuall navigator mulching system.

Jimslawncareservice
08-31-2011, 11:41 PM
No never used one. Been trying to talk a dealer into getting a demo but they don't sell many of them so they are scared to order one. Seems most people want to mow at 10-12 mph with out bagging

I'm positive.

All I use is a 48" ztr, and a 21". I have no use for a nice wb. And around here I have never seen one in use even.

Have you tired to sell it?

Mikegyver
09-07-2011, 12:32 PM
I have not tried the sell it as $XXXX dollars in the bank does not mulch or bag leaves! I used to run a 48 and a 21. Running a 36 and a helper cut my work in half.

How does that thing do in tall/thick grass? I had a walker many years ago that seemed to clog up constantly and was a pain in the but to keep serviced but it was only 16hp I think.

I've had good luck with exmarks over the last couple of years and have switched to bagging mainly but the side catchers are driving me crazy.

Ok, it is a long story......I'll throw out the short version here.

I got a Job last fall. I ended up using this mower to finish off the season.....because it is faster and works better than my BigDog in the leaves. That is why I "paused" the sale.

Since then I have decided not to do much mowing anymore...and my other mowers will work good enough for what I do do.

This is still a Great Mowing mower!!!

Just so you know I'm serious this time around....I even sold my E-450 that is in my signature last week.
