Does anyone know the shade tolerance for Thuja Occidentalis "Globosa Aurea"? I show one source says that Thuja Occidentalis is somewhat tolerant to shade, another says Globosa Aurea Variety needs full sun.. any ideas??

Thank you

Globe Arborvitae seems to do pretty well for me in part shade conditions. Full shade and it starts to get stragly.

grassman, i have 18 at 1 account, 9 in 60% shade and the other 9 in 20% shade, the 9 in full shade, i installed last year, they aredoing well and added a few inches in growth during the year so far. foilage is a darker green due to the extreme shade but look mighty inpressive
