I need a 36" mower for 8 city lots, 3 of which are corners. What are the differences in single vs dual hydros? I just sold my 1998 belt drive 48" exmark WB. Do I want to stay away from belt drive? I also have a Ferris 52" 2007 zero turn for larger properties. I own and maintain properties, no external accounts at present. Also, Better Products looks good at thier price point.

A dual hydro machine is much easier to operate and steer. With a single hydro unit, you have to muscle the machine around a little more, especially when turning 180 degrees. But for a 36" a single hydro would be okay because the machine isn't that heavy.

Pretty much depends on how much you want to spend. If you're trying to keep your costs down and don't mind muscling around a smaller machine, then find a single hydro unit. If you want a machine that's easy to operate and a little more productive, then spend the extra dough on a dual hydro.

Just my opinion.
