Any method that is better than using the blower?

Bag'em with a mower, works really well for me.

Just bagging doesn't work for me. Using a JRCO dethatcher and bagging helps. Sometimes just blow them into a pile and rake 'em up.

I have a lawn sweeper. Picks em right up and throw's them in a little bag/bucket thing. It is a pull behind, like a trailer, so all I have to do is hook it up to my rider and just mow as usual. works great, $250 at northren tool

I use the same machine that they use at the driving range to pick up golf balls :D

Power broom? We don't have sweetgums around here but it's what I use for large concentrations of nuts.

Might wanna take that nut sweeper through Washington DC next time you're in town.

I would rather collect arrowheads or baseball cards. :clapping:

Tell all the kids in town you have gumballs in the yard, they'll come running. :D

I got one yard that has a nice amount of them and I drop my deck down to 1.75. Go over them forward then back up and just mulch them up, or my 717 does a good job on them anyways. It does take me a few passes to get them all though. The first time the client saw me do this she said "wow, you sure made that look a lot easier than me trying to rake and pick them up". When I had my exmark used to bag them but it sounded like machine gun bullets going thru the vac and I was concerned about tearing it up, so I quit using it on them.
