Fuel pump is great.

Leaky injectors. Fuel needs to be finely atomized to burn cleanly. Leaky pintle valves in the tips will actually drip and allow fuel to puddle on the piston tops.

And is that why it is hard to start sometimes.
It only happens here and there.
But How do you fix leaky injectors?

How many miles? Its been my experience that replacing as a set gives best results. They wear at the same rate. The older mechanical injectors don't have a lot of parts to them.

Kinda sounds like my old Powerstroke. Hard to start eventually it was the Fuel Injector Control Modual than it ate a fuel injector and blew up!
