There is some days I just don't wear any. So I elect to keep it in the pants.

OP: I use Steel Toe Combat Boots, I like the high ankle support.

I don't care about that, I like my feet being comfortable all day. My feet feel like crap in anything without ankle support.

agreed I am more comfortable in boots and I just think they look more professional and wont wear as fast. ankle support is key with all the hills we work on here. Also boots are more waterproof I have had dry feet on days we mowed all day in the rain while my guy had wet feet from the first account. wet feet suck.

Red Wings are the only way to go IMO... I have had my pair for 6 years and they are just starting to wear, they are worn everyday of the week no matter what. High ankle support is key.

I use to have tims , they would wear out in a 3 months, so i finally went and got me a pair of red wings (logger /linemen) steel toe and unlike tims when these get scratched there still waterproof best 220 iv ever spent and they feel great once u get use to them

I've been wearing my tennis shoes for the past couple weeks (as long as its dry when I mow). I find that my tennis shoes are a little more comfortable for me when its hot/humid out.

I've got Cat boots as well as Bates. I find my Bates to be most comfortable to wear all day/night, but I don't wear them while mowing.

best boots you can buy, wolverine trappeur. They are built like a running shoe and they are the lightest boots made, they mold to your foot after a month, im on my second pair and i will never buy a different boot

that is the kind of boot i have been looking for. Light and feels like a sneaker. I will take a look at those.

Where are these made?

I used to wear boots. Switched to a low top trail shoe with mesh vents. Increased productivity by aprox 15%.
If I ever get a hankering for swampfoot again I will move to mississippi.

I'm calling BS on this. There's no way Wolverine makes a nicer boot than Danner Redwing, or Chippewa. I used to be able to get Wolverine boots cheap and I'd buy 2 sets a year because I'd blast through them so fast.

You want a good pair of lightweight boots...check out Danner's military boots.
