I surmise that you are going to top dress with this material and till it in?
I didn't do any research to see how much this product costs vs. the application rate for a project like this. It seems to be based for growers as a secondary post mix for the potting mixtures. Locally, composted leaf litter and top soils is mixed together to make a similar product.

no you apply it granularly before you put the sod down. no need to till because it will work better as it makes contact with the roots. they also make a topical application for existing landscaping. as far as pricing--it around 275 for a 50 lb bag. coverage is about a pound a pallet of sod.

What does it look like. I checked out the website and it shows no pictures of the actual product that I could see.

If I read it correctly, for seed and sod work it says to apply and till it in for optimum effectiveness.

you can till it in if you want, but the rep i talked with said that for sod it works better if you dont till it in because the new root growth with actually hold the soil2o right where it is most optimal-at the roots.

500,
Thanks for the info..........not arguing with your rep, just going by what the label apparently states. I hope this stuff really works for you in the future.
Thanks for the response.
