good luck finding paint for it. I had an old Bunton (well, early '00s maybe) for a while last year and I couldnt find paint at any dealer or anywhere up and down the east coast.

What about the gas you spent driving to the store for paint?

I'd be embarrassed to have that on my trailer!! Hell, I'd be embarrassed to park next to the trailer it was on!!

You should have had the whole thing chromed. That way it would be a true polished turd.

Just making a point that nothing is free. If more people would look at that and understand their costs they would do better. For example, if he spent that time working for a client he would have had enough money to buy a newer better WB. I love doing restorations as well. But i only do them on things that have value. Just trying to make a point.

i dont need another WB its going to be used on 2 of my lawns all the rest get cut with the exmark laser z. so think of it this way those 2 lawns the first time i cut them it will pay off all the work i just did to it. the amount i use it if i bought a new one it wouldnt pay it self off this year to me it make more sence but then again you did state you were slow

i get your advice but i dont think you get what im saying i dont have enugh small lawns that i need the walkbehind to justifiy buying a new one i have 2 lawns i need it for and thats it and thats because there small and have steep hills that my lazer z gets no traction on the rest are all done with the lazer i was cutting those 2 lawns with a 21". now instead of taking 2 hours to do them it will take 45 minuts

That wasn't advice you were trying to give, you were just being prick. He did a nice job restoring an older mower and gets trashed. Why, maybe not enough work to keep you guys busy?

Grassman, you did a find resto job on the old Bunton,it appears to cut fine also, hats off to you! I'll be doing a resto job on an old Snapper 36"WB this coming winter cuz it's rock solid and lays down a smooth professional cut.

lets see, spend hours during the season to restore a mower that has 0 value or work for clients and get paid. More advice. To be the most prductive, only take jobs that suit your equipment. Thngs will get a whole lot easer and more profitable. Call me all the names you want.

I dont get much sleep for sure. I own JP Landscaping, Heritage Custom Products(aircraft machine shop), and Team RCE T-RCE.com. Time management might be more important to me then others for obvious reasons hahah.

hahaha what a clown, your advice isnt going to help i will take any advice that will help me and most people on here are awsome at helping people out. i restored the mower because i wanted to do it, in doing that it will save me time one some of my acounts. i dont get your advice of going to get a new WB in the middle of the season and spending 3-5 grand for 2 acounts. i dont know maybe im wrong but to me it seems to make alot more sence to do what i did and be able too use that money for something that i realy need (new leaf loader)

I picked up an older Bunton for $500.00 that is a 48 inch deck. It runs and looks great. I started today on restoring it. I like the job you did but I am thinking of going all black with mine. Not sure, guess I'll know once I am done. :0)

Going to do it every day for an hour or two after work.

Great job on the restore.
