Dealer gave me an air filter for my 27HP Kohler and the box says Kawasaki. Fits good so I'm not complaining. Payed $21.

if it is the heavy duty air cleaner a lot of them cross. The kawasaki is normally cheaper so he was most likely looking out for you.

Which ever one is cheapest...........however, the Donalson breather kit is pretty universal. Just make sure you don't get the longer prefilter that is on the newer walkers, etc.

It's the cone shaped filter, I have over 400 Hours on my engine and the filter looked a little crappy so I ended getting a new filter. It's off a 2008 Exmark Lazer.

I wish there was a K&N type filter (washable) available for these. That would be great.

If your talking about the Donaldson type they do. Richard Martin had it on here a few nights ago. I just bought new ones and they are made in China. They come from Stens. Next ones will be from Fleetguard. Also watch out for the ones that are not white and blue they let dirt by. Had one (blue and white) with over 400hrs on the inner filter and still looked like new. The other one only had 100 hrs and was dirty and it was the black outer. Changed it out.

Not really the dealer likes that I buy parts from him and in return he fixes my stuff ASAP and even if it's a few months past warranty.

he gave you a good deal, you find some morons trying to stir the pot and think that the cheep crap that lets dirt past is good enough because it will save a buck today. They just have engine problems tomorrow.

Yes, K&N makes filters for a bunch of small engines. I just put one in the Donaldson canister on my Dixie. And they don't say "Made In China" anywhere on them or the box they come in.

I was going to get Fleetguards but let a local got them for me. They look like Fleetguards but come from China and if you put them together you can see the difference. Might try the K&N. I ran them on my drag car and have one on my Dodge dually. Never have had dirt problems with them.
