I have a tough lawn renovation that I'm probably not going to be able to get out of. I have a client with a pure Common Bermuda lawn that wants a fescue lawn installed.

It's getting kind of late in the season for planting and it's real hard to compete with Bermuda. This Bermuda is really established too!I thought of completely killing the entire lawn and reseeding before dormaincy sets in. But, it looks like dormancy may beat me to the punch. The weather is wet and cold right now.

I'm wondering at this point do I just tell them forget it and make them unhappy of what? If I do seed for them, would it be better to spike rather than core the lawn to lessen the effects of cold weather on the root system? You guys up north ought to know this one!
