Started working on a site yesterday and have a problem with the machine. Have a overheating issue and thought it was just the 95 degree weather. The temp is fine for a while then jumps to near H/red. I keep an eye on the gauges and shut it down for a couple hours when it got close to the hot/danger line.

Went out early this morning and even with the cool 70 degree air, I'm finding I only get about 20 minutes before the needle jumps to the upper limits of green (safe). I'm shutting it down when it gets to that point. I'm way behind schedule because of the overheating problem.

Overflow tank is full. Engine and radiator are clean, no buildup of dust. Anything else I might want to check before giving up for the day?

It is a IHI 55nx (below)

Wow -- rental shop owner just called. I left a voicemail earlier today didn't think they would respond till tomorrow. They said it might be a thermostat and they'd send another machine out tomorrow no charge.
