View Full Version : Missing gas can caps

What have you guys come up with for replacing missing gas can caps. I have a couple of older gas can that are fine but I cant seem to come up with anything to replace the caps with. Any help would be great.

i use wine bottle corks and trim them to fit

If you want a rainproof gas can you must buy a new one.

I guess you could see if the manufacturer of the brand you have can send you a new one.

I have enough new cans however these two cans that dont have caps for the spouts are older ones that have a carb that dump out in a min. not 5min. Just wanted to see if anyone had any easy ideas with things laying around. I can buy a new spout for 12 bucks or another slow draining can for 25

If there the old style with a plastic cover and you still have the screw on piece a cap off of a one gallon milk container works great.
