I have a Toro 20192 which is basically a Lawnboy deck with a Honda 160 engine. It is on its third year now and works great. I cut about 23 residential yards a week with it. Thinking of replacing it next spring.
My question is, does the new 22156 Commercial 21 have a different (stronger) transmission than my 20192. Toro brochure doesn't give much info.
It just says it has single speed rwd.
Thanks in advance.

Your toro is the super bagger with the personal pace tranny. It can go up to 4 miles/hour.

The 22156 has a single speed capable of going 3.1 mph. I'm not sure if it's a stronger transmission.

I've seen a few guys using the machine and it sure seems slow.

Brush cutters work well.

The only consideration I have is that my 21" be light enough so I can hurl it (while getting good "air") in the direction of the garbage container.

Brush cutters work well.

I know but they just don't have the critical mass to produce that satisfying clunk when they hit the bottom of said container.

Hey coopmaster, you ever use that side discharge feature?

Yes, I have two customers who only get biweekly cutting and in the spring the grass is so thick and long that the side discharge is the only option that works well.

After reading my own question I realize that I should have asked it differently.
Does the Toro Commercial 21" 22156 have a stronger, more durable transmission than the 20192?
Thanks in advance
