I take it you can't juice them?

You mean roundup?

yep. My only other suggestion would be to excavate the area to just below roots and back fill with bedding mix.

Would that work for your situation?

If it will work on the root's.
Maybe I should have sprayed first.
Cut it down with a grass blade on trimmer, but alot of roots still there......

I am transplanting some hosta's in that spot, plan to go thru it with my kombi/tiller head first and get as much of the root's as possible.

Just want to minimize the amount of wintercreeper that will come up later......

Unless you dig it all out or spray it, it will come back. I have tilled it and then put 3" of mulch on top and it still came back up. Im not sure what your prices are, but up here, I get bedding mix (top soil, compost, manure and a bit of sand) for around $30 a yard. Sounds like you would need about 1 1/2-2 yds if you dug out the existing bedding. I guarantee that the result would be far greater and you will have to do less maintenance in the long run.
