Just got my new Redmax blower:blob3: from captdevo. Fired it up and played with it around my yard and all I can say is Wow!:D

Anyone just starting in this business or in the market for a new blower should definetly buy this one. Man has it got some power.

What type was it? I use all Echo 2-cycle equipment, but I am always open to suggestions.

I think Steve got a Red Max 7001.

WOW is more like "Just Awsome"

Since its a little more powerful than my 7000, you should have lots of fun with it!

I got one as well from Devo about 2 weeks ago. It is A+ material and blows like nothing I've ever seen or used.. Incredible..

Dave...pardon my stupidity but I've never bought anything on ebay...how is that price different than if I call you and order one?? I'm about to buy one from you either way

10-20-2002, 08:35 AM
no question is stupid..

with ebay, you have a chance at getting them at a great price, but people often wait till the last minute to bid...ya never know.

then there is shipping to add on.

call or email orders offer a great price w/shipping.

and no waiting till auction ends....

Hi jsr2741,

I got one first of this week from my local RedMax dealer. My first back pack blower and your right it beats anything I have used in the past short of something on wheels,

I bought a new mower from him about 2 months ago so he gave me a super deal on the blower I just couldnt turn down :D

Yep, Redmax 7001rh, about blew the grass out of the ground.;) I tried the echo 650 and Redmax 7000 and compared to my sthil bg 85 I thought I had hold of a cyclone but I resisted and decided to wait. However my dealer told me that the Redmax distributor didn't even have a pricing sheet available yet.

So after reading some more post I decided to e-mail captdevo. After a few days I called him and shot the bull for about 20 minutes; this guy knows his stuff, next thing I know I've got the 7001 on order (would of got to use it thurs & friday but ups delivered it to the wrong street).

Anyone who is thinking of getting into this biz but is limited on the money they can spend, all I can say is spend the extra money to get the quality equipment. As long as you do quality work your equipment will be paid off in no time.

Thanks to captdevo and the rest of you guys who post very informative information.

I can't remember if I asked this before, but how does this 7001 compare to Echo Pb650? I bought the echo several mo's ago and we all love it. CFM seems to be same....is it better?

I don't think we have a dealer here.

Everyone wants to compare top-notch blowers.. Redmax vs Echo, etc..

At this high of a MPH and CFM, does it matter?

The Redmax 7001 is an a-kicking machine. Best thing I ever used, which is only compared to my Craftsman handheld.. I couldn't believe that a backpack blower is simply "That strong".. I couldn't imagine how strong a walk behind like a Billy goat is if a backpack one is this strong..

I don't think anyone will be able to answer if the echo vs redmax is stronger.. But if it gets the job done, fine.

We all know the 7001 is Redmax's strongest product offering. Same for the 650 Echo...

They are all good. :)

I finally got to use mine today. I only had 4 lawns to do but I know how long it takes for each to do.

The first I saved right at 6 minutes because of the redmax, 2nd was about 4 minutes, 3rd 5 minutes and the commercial property I did saved me 8 minutes. Grand total 23 minutes or nearly one more lawn.

The more I use my 7000, the more I like it and see that I have made a good decision. I have been reading all the posts about how powerful these babies were, but held off buying one. I finally took the plunge and am impressed.
It has saved me some time and a lot of agravation already, but thursday will be the test. I have 2 jobs in the morning and they have wet bluegrass, and new concrete. For two years I have been trying to get the clippings off the concrete and having a real hard time with the stihl br400. From what I have seen this blower do, I shouldn't have any problems. We will see.

Hey Al.....We seen you today at 141 and Conway.

I even had the invisible bat-shield on.
I guess it is only working for the speed traps.

I have been looking for a new blower for a while.
Can anyone tell me how reliable the Redmax is? I have used Echos all my life, and have yet to have problems with them. Is the Redmax the same way?
