Interesting column in Landscape Management magazine about meeting the
expectations of our affluent customer base. Charge enough to give them quality and NO headaches. I have found this very true over the years both in the landscape business and as an employee of a couple affluent bosses when I worked in other businesses.
They do NOT want problems! They want the job done and don't want to hear about problems getting it done. And they certainly don't want problems after you are done! I believe this column is "right on" for the landscape and architectural lighting business.

The opposite of the lowball mentality. Fast and cheap does not work with the kind of people that I like to do business with. They also do not like to be nickel and dimed. Standing firm on one's price quickly weeds out the wanna be's and nouveau riche types. I do not want their business.
