echo trimmer

i have a couple of echo trimmers that have gone out this year

the starter does not work when you pull the rope so i replaced the starters and they still dont work

called the guy at the repair shop he said it must be the little spring inside the pawl

i'll replace that tomorrow but i was wondering if anyone else had such a problem

i have used echos for about 6 years now and have not had this problem but this year it has happened to 3 trimmers any ideas

What do you mean the starters dont work?? Does the string pull??? Is there any tension???

There really is not much which can go wrong.....the coil spring keeps the cord wound, and when you pull, it cranks the engine.
