I bought a used Tank with 332 hours from an individual that needed a little TLC. After some factory paint, new decals, and thorough cleaning I think it turned out pretty nice. Opinions welcome. This is my first experience with Cub Cadet Commercial. I've always ran Scag, Grasshopper, and Bad Boy in the past. The Tank seems like a solid built machine. Mine has a 24hp Honda with a 54" deck.

I changed the paint color on the pulley gaurds from black to yellow. The newer models are like this. I think it gave the mower a little more style. The new decals really brought it back to life.

wow that looks like it was done by a shop ... did it always have a honda or that was put on later?

Thank you. I spent 6 hours on it. Spent some time at the car wash pressure washing everything first. After that, I removed the rims/tires, the control panels, and all the nuts and bolts I could without disassembling everything too extreme. I taped everything off and sprayed on a few coats of paint. Once everything was dry I put the new decals on that I ordered from Parts Tree. As for the engine...I don't know for sure. The hour meter shows 332.8 hours. I bought it from an individual that owned it 2 years. This model came with a 24hp Honda so I think it is the original engine.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the compliments. If anyone has any detailed knowledge of the Tank mowers I am all ears. Like I said, I found a good deal on this machine with low hours. Outside of that, I haven't ever ran Cub Cadet Commercial before. I'm anxious to get familiar with the ups and downs.

i run a cub cadet recon 48 tank and absolutely love it.currently i have 140 trouble free hours..only thing ever repaired was the belt tensioner spring eyelet broke...being my first zero turn i think its one heck of a machine..during demo days i operated exmarks, grasshoppers, john deere and simplicity..this cub is every bit of machine those are minus the price tag..i run 20lbs in my front tires and 8lbs in my rear and it really stripes cuts nice..beware if you are going to add on the power flow bagger system it will rob you of horsepower..so if you have any hills to manage it can be a task.

Looks Nice! Put the rear weights on top that back bar. They are there form factory and they will get you hung up hanging down on the bottom.

LDH,

Looks great! Im looking at one like your tank only it has a 48in deck and a kawi engine. I wanted to ask how you liked it? Also I wanted to see how much it was if you dont mind. You can PM me if you want. The one im looking at seems like it could use a little tlc but i think it has less then 500 hours. Its a 03. Also, where did you get the decals for it? Just wanting to see if you could give me a little info so I know what i might jump into. Thanks much!

Thanks guys. I haven't been on here in a month or so. I bought the decals thru parts tree. You might have to order the decal package for a newer model, as I had a hard time finding them for my year. I got the paint from Cub Cadet.

I think that if you replace the hour meter to a new one you could fool just about everyone out there! Looks great!

very nice job. There are a lot of tanks around these parts and I have never heard anyone complain about them.
