i Just bought a 1991 walker 16 hp but it seems so slow it goes faster in reverse no joke. a bigger pulley? will the hydros take it or are they at top speed? belts are tight i did check.

No, that is how they were designed back then, it's near 20 years old and they do about 3 mph's, maybe 4, that's just how it is
so I wouldn't fool with the ground speed unless you plan on racing it, you want to go faster, better off buy a newer machine.

Put larger drive tires on it...if they will fit without any clearance issues.
If not , jack up the air pressure in your drive tires.

There is a speed up kit brought out by walker that fits on some models. I have been told it can go on all models if you have a torch
